The Bays

The Bays have soft, slow moving knee-high open-face and gentle whitewater waves. This makes them accessible and user friendly for newcomers to learn, practice and have fun. In dedicated areas, beginners are quick to catch and ride their first waves in controlled but ocean-like conditions.

The number of Bay waves depend on the programming of the Reef session. Each Reef wave provides a ride for 3 Bay surfers on both sides of the central pier - a combined total of 6. With a programming of 500 Reef waves/hour, this totals 1,500 Bay rides/hour.
