This 2-3 hour trip takes the beginning explorer through the historic Mammoth Cave area as far back as the beautiful Jungle Room. Spelunkers will crawl, wiggle and squirm their way through natural passages connecting eight different chambers. This trip is perfect for those desiring more than a walk, but who aren’t up to the rigors of the Middle Earth Expedition. All tight squeezes and crawls are optional. Appropriate for ages 8 and up. All minors must be accompanied by an adult; however, those 8 to 12 yrs old must be accompanied by a parent. Winter and spring trips are dependent on water level conditions inside the cavern.

Important to Know

  • Minimum Age: 8 years old
  • Minimum two participants. Solo explorers will be guided to an already reserved tour as an addition.
  • Be sure to notify us ahead of time if anyone in the group may require special attention or awareness on the part of the guide.
  • We provide all necessary caving equipment, including gloves, helmet with light, and knee pads.

Cancellation Policy

Customers will receive a full refund or credit with at least 72 hours’ notice of cancellation.

Cancellations made less than 72 hours but more than 1 hour before the scheduled tour will receive a 75% refund. We will retain 25% of the booking fee.

Cancellations made within 1 hour of the scheduled tour time, or no-shows, will not receive a refund or credit.

Customers will also receive a full refund or credit in the event of an operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
