• Our Private Surf lessons are a great option for any novice or beginner surfers needing more attention to create proper habits when starting out. Private Surf Lessons are also an incredible tool for any intermediate to advanced surfers who need constructive criticism and instant feedback to get to the next level.

• Compared to a group or semi-private lesson, in a private surf lesson you will be catching more waves with the client to instructor ratio set at 1:1. Private lessons give you instant feedback and 100% of the attention throughout the lesson. You will have and instructor alongside you to debrief each wave and to fine tune your skills.

• All surf lessons begin with a detailed land lesson emphasizing the importance of knowing the local surf break and nearby surroundings.

• Before entering the water you will be instructed on surf related topics that include: board mechanics, pop up techniques, etiquette, and unique surf situations. Once ready on land, our trained and certified instructors will put your newly acquired skills to the test in the water on the friendly waves that Capitola Beach provides.
