What to Expect
BMW M DRIFT ACADEMY – West
Learn to drift with confidence during this four-hour BMW M driving experience at BMW Performance Center West. Begin with instructor-led training on vehicle dynamics, then take the wheel of a BMW M3 or M4 on a polished concrete skid pad to practice controlled oversteer, understeer, and drift transitions. Built for newcomers as well as experienced drivers, this is a hands-on introduction to the skill and precision behind controlled drifting.
Drift Training
Learn the fundamentals of vehicle balance, throttle control, understeer, and oversteer before putting the theory into practice.
Skid Pad Driving
Drive a BMW M3 or M4 on BMW’s polished concrete skid pad, practicing clockwise and counterclockwise drifts.
Drift Transitions
Progress toward changing direction and linking drifts in figure-eight-style exercises, with instructor guidance throughout.
Who It’s For
A strong fit for BMW M fans, first-time drifters, and experienced track drivers who want to learn a very different driving discipline. It is more focused and technical than a standard track experience; it is not simply a high-speed ride or hot-lap session.
Independent participant feedback says beginners were welcomed, instructors were hands-on, and participants could make meaningful progress toward linked drifts within the session. BMWBLOG review
