Let’s get muddy with clay. Class meets once per week for 3 hours. The goal of the class is to learn the art of throwing, practice as much as you can during open studio hours and to complete your projects. Skills taught include throwing, trimming, attachments, and glazing.

Lots of one on one time allows students to progress independently.

Class includes 3 hours of weekly instruction, access to clay tools and equipment and studio practice time during our regular open studio hours. Studio is open:
Evenings - Mondays, Tuesdays and Friday 6-9 pm
Days - Wednesdays, Thursdays,Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays 11 - 5 pm
*Availability pending weekend class schedule
Clay is an additional cost and must be purchased by Art Space on the Coast.

Week 1 - throwing bowls, tumblers and plates
Week 2 - trimming bowls, throwing mugs
Week 3 - trimming mugs and adding handles, throwing plate
Week 4 - glazing your pieces

Ages 10-16: All participants between the ages of 10 and 16 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Participants aged 17 and older may register independently without a parent or guardian.

Comfortable clothing: You might get a little messy.
Apron or smock: To protect your clothes.
Closed-toe shoes: For safety.
