Join us for You Can Be a Veterinarian Camp, an immersive half-day experience where kids will explore the exciting world of veterinary medicine firsthand! From handling exotic animals to practicing real-life techniques, campers will gain valuable skills, interact with professional equipment, and even speak with veterinary experts. This rare opportunity offers a fun, hands-on journey into the world of animal care, inspiring future vets to learn, dream big, and discover their passion

Exotics Physiology Lab: You will get to show off your dexterity as you perform a dissection on a paper frog. You will also get an up-close encounter with one of our frogs and discover why amphibians are so unique.

Equine Care & Management 101: Learn about the different aspects of equine care and the roles of the veterinarians, technicians and assistants while visiting the Equine Hospital.

Veterinary Surgical Nursing 100: Meet and pet a snake while learning about a life-saving surgery that one of our Veterinarians performed on one of our scaly friends. Campers will practice surgical suturing of incisions on a life-like model.

Basics of Canine CPR & Intro to Anatomy: Practice fundamental CPR techniques on a canine training model and view a respiratory demonstration. You will also get to learn what goes into prepping a dog for surgery.

Lagomorph Parasitology 100: Interact with a rabbit and learn about the parasitic organisms that can affect these small mammals and others. You will view slides of bacteria under a microscope and discuss different treatment options.
Restrictions
- This camp is for kids only! Must be 9 or older for safety and maturity reasons with the activities and level of knowledge we provide.
- All campers must be able to use the restroom confidently and on their own.
- Shoes: For safety reasons, closed-toed shoes only. No sandals allowed.
- Drawstrings: For safety reasons, drawstrings (hoodies, pants or shorts) should not be worn on the playground.
- Pets: No pets are allowed on the campgrounds. There are no exceptions to this safety policy. Cannot leave pets alone in vehicles.
- Toys, books, stuffed animals, etc.: These may get soiled, broken, or lost—best to leave at home.
- Sharp objects: For safety purposes please leave anything that is a sharp or hazardous at home.

Cancellation Policy
Please stay home if a member of your household is sick. We can transfer registrations which haven't started, to another day if that day has room, for any purpose. Communicate with us about child illness and we can discuss the cancellation policy allowances.
nIf you need to cancel and provide more than 24 hours’ notice to the start of the camp day, we can refund you 85% of the paid value.
nIf you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice to the start of the day you will not receive a refund.
