El Conquistador "Scratch&Ride" Experience
Ages 14+ • 1 hour and 30 minute, beginner, trail ride
What to Expect
This is the cowboy experience! Arrive at the barn to help the wranglers get ready for the day. You will have a chance to bond with your horse before your ride by learning to brush and saddle up your horse before joining the rest of the group for a 1-hour, morning, beginner ride.
We are happy to teach you how to properly groom (that means "to brush") and tack (that means "to saddle and bridle") your horse for a full 30 minutes before you even get on to ride!
This is an exclusive event and space is limited, so you’ll get an opportunity to connect with your assigned horse one-on-one!

30 minutes of hands-on time with your assigned horse. Wranglers will teach you how to brush, saddle and bridle your steed!

1 Hour, guided, walk-only horseback trail ride

Mandatory helmets for riders under the age of 18, and helmets available for all riders as requested

Use of saddlebags to bring your water bottle, phone, sunscreen, and other small items onto the trail with you.

Restrictions
Please consider the physical nature of horseback riding. Unfortunately, as we are not a hippotherapy or equine therapy provider, we do not offer side-walkers or alternative saddles and therefore cannot accommodate riders who are unable to keep themselves upright on the horse or mount the horse through their own power.
Horseback riding is not recommended for pregnant women.
Our horses are unable to accommodate any riders over 350 pounds. Please fill out our weight and experience questionnaire accurately so that we can accommodate each rider with the appropriate horse.

Cancellation Policy
Full refund or credit with 24+ hours notice. No-shows and late-arrivals resulting in a party missing their scheduled ride will be charged the full price.
