Challenge yourself with this hard and scenic trail with steep climbs, rock scrambling, and thick vegetation. Enjoy spectacular views of the Sky Island mountain ranges and beautiful ponderosa pines that shade most of the trail. Travel through multiple biomes from the forest, to the tundra, to the mountainside, to the bushlands. Experience local flora and fauna and explore the site of a historic plane crash. Seasonal delights include lovely streams, wildflowers and butterflies in spring, wild mushroom foraging during monsoon season, summertime wild raspberries, vibrant fall colors, and occasional wintertime snow! This guided hiking tour is weather permitting due to potential winter icyness.
