What to Expect

THE SEDONA–JEROME GRAND TOUR
SEDONA • VORTEXES • WINE COUNTRY • COTTONWOOD • JEROME

Serving Sedona visitors for over 35 years, our private 6–7 hour Grand Tour is our most comprehensive experience — an unforgettable journey from the red rocks of Sedona, across the Verde Valley, and up Mingus Mountain to the historic ghost town of Jerome.

We begin with Sedona.

Depending on traffic and visitor volume, your tour may include the Chapel of the Holy Cross, Tlaquepaque, Airport Mesa, and other spectacular scenic locations. Certain high-volume stops are always at your guide's discretion so we can make the best use of your time.

Along the way, experience our exclusive and proprietary Prana Viewing Vortex Experience™, where your guide shows you how to center yourself, shift your attention, and observe what we interpret as visible Prana energy. You'll learn to see and interact with this fascinating phenomenon for yourself.

This is a deeply interpretive experience — one that regularly leaves guests stunned and often feeling enlightened. We don't ask you to believe anything going in. We ask you to observe for yourself, consider our interpretation, and suspend your skepticism... or not. We embrace the challenge.

Then we head into the Verde Valley.

Enjoy great food, wine, cocktails, and conversation in Old Town Cottonwood or Jerome, depending on the day and your preferences. We might visit a winery for Arizona wine and charcuterie, settle into a great local restaurant for a memorable meal and cocktails, or simply choose whatever fits the group and the flow of the tour. Along the way, watch the landscape change dramatically as we make our way across the Verde Valley and toward Mingus Mountain.

And then there's Spooky Jerome — The Ghost Town.
Perched high above the Verde Valley, Jerome is a legendary former mining town filled with colorful history, fascinating characters, ghost stories, music, spectacular views, and decades of personal stories and local connections you won't hear on an ordinary tour.

Depending on available time and your interests, we may take in the breathtaking views from a high overlook, visit the famously haunted Jerome Grand Hotel, stop for food, drinks or wine tasting, or give you some time to explore the historic streets and enjoy a little shopping.

On a clear day, one of our favorite moments comes when we look back across the Verde Valley toward Sedona — approximately 23 miles away — and see just how far we've traveled.

The Grand Tour is private and flexible. Traffic, crowds, conditions, and your interests can influence the exact route and stops, allowing your guide to shape the experience as the tour unfolds.

Sedona to Jerome and everything in between — one extraordinary private journey through Northern Arizona.

MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU

A Note About Our Prana Viewing Vortex Experience™
If you’re familiar with the Star Wars saga, you may find the experience of seeing and interacting with Prana strangely familiar. Within our interpretive framework, we explore the possibility that what we call Prana has deep connections to George Lucas's research when crafting the concept of The Force — an unseen energy that surrounds us, moves through us, and connects living things across dimensional realms.

Disclaimer: While we connect a cultural and metaphysical phenomenon to a large and popular entertainment franchise, Sedona Wine and Vortex Tours™ and the Prana Viewing Vortex Experience™ are independent experiences and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with Lucasfilm, Disney, or the Star Wars franchise in any way.

A NOTE ABOUT TOUR DURATION

The Grand Tour is a fun, exciting experience where we cover a lot of ground and encounter plenty of curious places and things. It is designed as a 6–7 hour tour, but it can occasionally run longer when guests choose to spend additional time enjoying particular stops, restaurants, wineries, shops, or other experiences along the way.

Because this is a private and flexible tour, we don't like rushing our guests or constantly pushing the tour forward just to beat the clock. We want you to relax, enjoy yourself, and let the experience unfold naturally.
If the tour extends beyond 7 hours, however, additional time may be charged at our standard extension rate of $200 per hour, per vehicle.

Your guide will make every reasonable effort to keep the experience within the scheduled tour duration. Because traffic, guest preferences, dining times, and the natural pace of a private tour can affect our return time, we strongly recommend that you do not schedule dinner reservations, shows, transportation, or other time-sensitive plans for at least 2 hours after our anticipated return.
