Program #2 Falconry hunting 101

To place a booking less than 48 hours in advance, please call our office at 928-635-3072.

Take a walk on the wild side, with a trained raptor. Falconry (hunting with a trained bird of prey), is an art that has been practiced for thousands of years. If you are considering becoming a falconer this is the program for you. During the program you will learn the basics about what it takes to become a modern-day falconer.

This is an in the field experience in which we take one of our hawks on a HUNT for rabbits. The hunt will take place on uneven terrain and no groomed walking trails. Guests should be prepared for a light hike through the bush.

Your experience will also include having a free flying hawk and falcon fly to your glove. At the conclusion of the Grand Canyon Falconry 101 Course guests will also have an opportunity to hold an eagle owl (one of the largest owls in the world) and receive a complimentary souvenir photo card of your Grand Canyon Raptor Experience.

Please call us if you have a group larger than 6 or if you are interested in booking for a school, Scouts, or other group.
