FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED
Born out of a love for nature and adventure, Buck Wild Hummer Tours is a family-owned and operated business, run by Grand Canyon experts with more than 60 years of tour experience. Our sister companies, Papillon Helicopters and Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines have been providing incredible memories to guests for generations and we have carried that legacy over to our Humvee tours as well.
THE GUIDES
Our professional guides will teach you about the history of the American Southwest, the forces of nature that shaped the canyon, and the ancient people who inhabited the land. The Grand Canyon is a stunning sight, but there is so much more to it than just the view. Touring with a guide enriches your experience and will leave you with a better understanding of the Canyon. It takes years of training to accumulate the knowledge that our guides will share in just 2-3 hours. They will point out features of the canyon that only a trained eye can see and simultaneously act as your photographer, ensuring you get all the best photos to lock in your memories for a lifetime!
THE HUMVEES
“Humvees” first debuted in 1985 with US soldiers referring to them as “Jeeps on steroids”. The superbly versatile vehicle served as troop carriers, command centers and ambulances. At Buck Wild, we took a fleet of former military Humvees and customized them into luxury touring vehicles. Our Humvees offer forward-facing, stadium seating and surround sound, for optimal viewing from every seat. In addition, weather at the Grand Canyon can vary immensely from warm, sunny days to cold, snowy conditions, and we are prepared for anything Mother Nature throws our way! You can enjoy beautiful weather with an open-air experience in the warmer months or cozy up with a blanket and heater in our fully enclosed, climate-controlled environment during cooler months.
THE SIMPLICITY
Avoid the hassle of researching top viewpoints, parking, looking for the best photo spots, asking for help with pictures, etc… We know the canyon like that back of our hand, because we eat/sleep/breathe it, every day. We will take you straight to the most picturesque viewpoints, make sure you get all the best photos, show you those hidden spots no one knows about and make sure your Grand Canyon experience is the best it can possibly be! Let someone else do the driving while you get the inside scoop, from a Grand Canyon expert, along the way!
