Ice Fishing & Aurora Extravaganza

This is our Special Ice Fishing plus Snowshoeing plus Aurora Chasing Extravaganza tour!

We will leave Fairbanks around Noon - 1pm and drive to Southeast to a beautiful frozen lake, leaving plenty of time to stop for phots of the Salcha River Basin.
Once we arrive at the lake you will meet Ice Fishing Expert Guide, Jim, and his Luxury Ice Fishing Castle.

You'll get to spend 4 hours learning, fishing, and watching the fish beneath the ice via underwater cameras, all while being surrounded in comfort and warmth. Restroom included.

Jim does things the right way, no huge groups, no over-fishing.

He will cook lunch or dinner, plus the fish you catch.
He is an awesome Alaskan with so many great stories to tell while fishing.

Your guide with us will remain on site and fish with you.

After Ice Fishing we will remain in the area and have a campfire, roast marshmallows, and go Snowshoeing.

The Snowshoeing portion is easy, casual, and a fun way to explore the forest in all its winter wonderland glory!

Once it's dark outside, or closer to aurora time, we will decide where we need to be for the best show! It may be right there on the lake! Or we may end up on a chase further south towards Delta Junction or back towards Fairbanks.

This is a stunningly beautiful area with so many great places to stop and wait for the aurora to show up.

This night is fully custom, when you are ready to return to Fairbanks, you say the word. We may be done at 11pm, or go until 4am.

If you want a truly custom day partaking in 3 of Alaska's greatest pastimes....
This is a great option for a great day in the interior of Alaska.

Suitability

• Adults and Children 4 years and up.
• Please advise if your party has children under 6 years old.
• Solo guests welcome!
• If your party is over 6 people, contact us, we can usually accommodate up to 14.
• Please note that while all ages are welcome, very young children may have a difficult time in extreme cold for a full night, if you have questions please let us know ahead of time.
• Please contact us about any specific mobility issues and we will do our best to accommodate.
• Regarding restroom facilities, This tour goes to remote areas of Alaska, most of which is without plumbing, and bathroom breaks are generally outside.

OF NOTE: If weather precludes aurora viewing, we will still go to ice fishing, or attempt to switch dates for both.
If this happens and we do go for just the ice fishing portion, and must cancel aurora due to weather, you will only be charged a flat rate for transport to Ice Fishing of $150 for up to 4 people.
