This is not your normal aurora tour - this is an Arctic Odyssey!

This is our NEW premiere adventure that utilizes an entire night to immerse you into the heart of Alaska.

This Northern Lights experience is designed for those who want to stay longer, go deeper, and chase the aurora with purpose and wonder!
This adventure takes you well beyond the city lights into the quiet, dark wilderness of Interior Alaska, where aurora activity is high, distractions are low, and the night sky puts on it's best show!

Choose this tour if...

1.) You want darker skies and more unique landscapes.
2.) You want to see the lights from start to finish for one full night of darkness, 6pm to 6am is possible in certain months.
3.) You are a photographer and have ideas about the photos you want to be able to capture.
4.) You are all about adventure in Alaska, and this tour will include snowshoeing, a campfire, extra photography help, and a slew of other extras based on month. This could be berry picking, hiking, or making lake ice sing!

This tour is not for the faint of heart. Please read through this description before choosing this option.

We will pick up early, by 8pm or even earlier if there is an incoming geomagnetic storm, and drive at least 1.5 hours in the best direction that weather dictates for the night. We may drive 3+ hours in one direction.

The goal for this specific premiere tour is to get into more remote regions of the interior, where the skies are darker and the landscapes ethereal.

If our water is still unfrozen we will get you to a lake or river to hopefully get aurora reflections on the water.
If our snow is pristine we will try to find hoarfrost coated trees.

This night is all about going beyond just the aurora and adding true Alaska style adventure to the mix, we may snowshoe, walk on water, make ice sing, make snow, view meteors, the sky is the limit.

This tour will likely NOT have restroom facilities and will likely last 12 hours, so please do NOT book this tour if you are not okay using nature for bathroom breaks.
Kids under 13 will likely not do well on this adventure unless they are used to very long road trips and enjoy them.

We try to keep things customized as a small company, and abide by guest wishes, that said; We will not return early unless all guests on tour are done for the evening.

What's Included

• Aurora Discussion always included, learn the science behind this enchanting phenomenon.
• Help with Photography (cell phone or camera) included in every tour.
• Transportation from all lodgings within the Fairbanks or North Pole area within 15 miles from the airport.
  Staying further out of town? Let us know and we will accommodate with a small add on fuel charge.
  You may also meet us in town for pickup.
• This tour includes a Full Aurora Chase, up to 12 hours total.
• Photography Portraits with the Aurora - up to 10 edited photos are included with the tour at the discretion of the photographer.
• Snacks, S'mores, and makings for hot cocoa or instant coffee or tea are provided.
• Extra fun perks and surprises will be added based on the weather conditions.

Suitability

• Adults and Children 12 years and older.
• Solo guests welcome!
• If your party is over 7 people, please contact us, we can usually accommodate up to 14 guests.
• Please advise if your party has children under 12 years.
  If you have children under the age of 14 you may be required to book the tour as private to accommodate all guests comfort.
• Please note that while all ages are welcome, children may have a difficult time in extreme cold for a full night, if you have questions please let us know ahead of time.
• Please contact us about any specific mobility issues and we will do our best to accommodate.
• Regarding restroom facilities, This tour goes to remote areas of Alaska, most of which is without plumbing, and bathroom breaks are generally outside.
• We may stop at a static location for a portion of the night at a cabin or other dwelling, this would vary and is weather dependent.

Add On Options

• Camera Rentals can be added on and are listed as you make your reservation. We have 2 different Sony cameras for rent.
• Tripods for your own camera or cell phone are also available.
• While a few portraits are included, you may choose to add on a full photo package, we do this at the time of the tour.
• Make it Private! Option available to make this tour just for you and your family.
• Rental Winter Outerwear can be arranged through a business partner, just let us know.

Disclaimer

The Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon and cannot fully be predicted. We do NOT guarantee aurora sightings!
We do our best to track the live data constantly being reported by NOAA and NASA.
The aurora is visible in Fairbanks 9 out of 10 nights from August through April when it's dark outside, at night. Some shows are faint, others are great! Thick clouds are the only thing that fully prevents viewing.

Alaska weather forecasts are rarely accurate, this tour operates in all weather, even cloudy skies can usually be out-chased.
We do NOT cancel for temperatures, unless the forecast is to be colder than minus -50 degrees Fahrenheit, as we can usually get to areas with warmed temperatures.

We will however cancel or reschedule if the weather precludes aurora viewing entirely. We will not take you out if there is virtually no chance of finding clear sky.

Gratuity Etiquette

Leaving a tip is not required.
Gratuity is NOT included in the cost of the tour.
However, if you enjoyed yourselves while adventuring with us, please consider tipping your Guide/s. Any amount is appreciated and lets our Crew know how much you valued your experience.
