What to Expect
Join local mushing guides for a one-hour sled ride behind a team of energetic Alaskan Huskies. Meet and pet the dogs, help harness them, and learn about the history and modern practice of dog mushing while gliding along wooded lowlands and across frozen sandbars at the confluence of the Chena and Tanana Rivers. Enjoy multiple photo opportunities in Fairbanks winter light and return toward Trail Breaker Kennel—founded by legendary musher Susan Butcher—while taking in local architecture and the power of working sled dogs.

Tours will be canceled if -25F or colder. Note: For children 10 years and younger the tour will be canceled at -10°F. Guests over 250 lbs must book two seats for safety and comfort.
