About:
Have you ever dreamed of running your own team of sled dogs in Alaska on the snow-covered trails of the Alaskan backcountry? This women’s only expedition is that experience! Join us for a three-day and two-night dog sled expedition on the historic gold rush trails of Hatcher Pass on the runners of your own sled behind a team of powerful huskies. Guided by women and created for women, this immersive experience is built around hands-on instruction, authentic trail travel, and learning the deep connection between musher, dogs, and the land we call home.
Led by experienced women dog mushers, this expedition teaches you how to work with, care for, and drive your own team. Don’t worry if you’ve never done anything like this before, our guides provide one-on-one instruction and will set you up for success. During the expedition you’ll travel through frozen lakes, forested trails and mountain passes, help care for your dog team, and spend your evenings relaxing at Snowhook Lodge or at a remote backcountry camp. Nights include chances to see the northern lights, and by the end of the trip you’ll leave with the skills, confidence, and love for running dogs that can only come from experiencing Alaska by sled team.
Cancellation Policy:
Note: Cancellation requests 7-13 days prior to the start of your tour will receive 50% refund less any booking fees or taxes. You may reschedule 1 time for no cost.
• Cancellation requests less than 7 days prior to the start of your tour or failure to show up will result in no refund or rescheduling option.
• Bookings made within the 7 day window prior to the start of a tour are not eligible for refunds or rebooking.
• Rescheduling is first come, first served and based entirely on availability.
• Rescheduled bookings are not eligible for refund or rescheduling a 2nd time.
• Please note that canceled flights or illness are not exceptions to our cancellation policy.
• In the event that the tour is canceled by Snowhook Adventure Guides of Alaska due to weather or any other force majeure, the reserving party will receive a complete refund.
