What to Expect
The Matanuska Glacier is one of Alaska’s premier attractions - and our absolute favorite!
Travel in a comfortable Mercedes Sprinter on this 8 hour day trip with a small group (up to 10 guests) as we drive along the scenic Matanuska River, with stops along the way for photos, restrooms, snacks, coffee, and to pick up lunch.
Once at the glacier, you’ll join a guided experience with local Matanuska Park Guides, exploring the ice on a beginner to intermediate hike (available for all ages and fitness levels.) You’ll walk through ice features, canyons, and ridges while learning about the glacier’s history and scale. Plenty of stops for memorable photos and videos along the way!
