What to Expect

Photographic opportunities include humpback whales, orcas, sea otters, Stellar sea lions, seabirds, eagles, brown bears and more - all against the backdrop of the breathtaking beauty of Southeast Alaska.

Whale watching and wildlife viewing are at their peak in March and April when the herring return to spawn. During this time, photographers can capture the iconic bubblenet feeding practices by humpback whales.
