Join our guided nighttime snowshoe adventure and explore the quiet beauty of Alaska after dark. As we travel through snowy trails, your guide will help you spot nocturnal wildlife, constellations, planets, and—if nature cooperates—the awe-inspiring Aurora Borealis. Along the way, you’ll learn about Alaska’s dark skies and even get help capturing the perfect photo of the lights.

• A scenic shuttle ride to a remote area away from city lights for optimal aurora viewing
• Guided snowshoe hike with instruction and all necessary gear

What to Expect
• After pickup, we’ll drive away from city light pollution—route and location vary nightly based on weather and aurora forecasts.
• Once we arrive, your guide will provide snowshoeing instruction and serve warm drinks and snacks.
• We’ll snowshoe to a clear, open area to enjoy views of the stars and Northern Lights (weather permitting).
• After soaking in the night sky, we’ll hike back to the shuttle and return you to your pickup point.
🕗 Trip Duration:
• 5–7 hours round trip from Wasilla
• 6–8 hours round trip from Anchorage
• Start Time: 8:00 PM
• Return: Around 2:00 AM
Each night’s route is unique—chosen for the best aurora visibility conditions.

If the Northern Lights don’t make an appearance during your trip, we’ll extend a “bounce-back” offer so you can join us again on another night at no additional cost.

Cancellation Policy
The best way to view the northern lights is to pick a night that has a strong forecast with all the right factors in place. As such, we recommend having some flexibility in your time in Alaska. We are happy to reschedule you to a different night if the lights are not looking like they can be seen. We look at the forecast throughout the day.
nAurora Guarantee:
nIf the Northern Lights don’t make an appearance during your trip, we’ll extend a “bounce-back” offer so you can join us again on another night at no additional cost. This bounce-back guarantee is valid for one year for the original traveler, who booked the trip.
